“Description” in Greek. An ekphrastic poem is a vivid description of a scene or, more commonly, a work of art. Through the imaginative act of narrating and reflecting on the “action” of a painting or sculpture, the poet may amplify and expand its meaning.

Prize
If your poem is selected, you will be featured in an upcoming SPANK the CARP pond in the Mind of a Poet. This will include your poem, commentary you provide, as well as your bio and glamshot.
Rules
- Send a single entry to [email protected]. Use a subject of "Ekphrasis Challenge 59"
- Past your entry into the body of the email.
- Provide just your name. No additional information is needed at this point.
- There is no entry fee.
- DEADLINE: October 31st, 2020. Winner will be notified by November 15th.
