Entering Heaven Will Be Like

robbing that place on Wilshire,
it is still early
in the morning as we
make our get-away,

stash the car,

change our shirts,
step into the
dewy
grass and California
sunshine,
all the jewels
in our pockets bulging,
we gaze
and act like nothing
has happened
and wonder what
we'll do the rest of the day.
