Beyond the Lens
As summer leans into autumn
Memories
of halcyon days framed in the eye of your prismatic lens
Gathering
on pebbled beaches, lined with moated castles
Reflecting
in waves of nostalgia, exposed in black and white
Musing
in the piercing echoes of screeching gulls
Searching
the remains of what was left behind
Flooding
your darkroom with mercurial moon light
Twilight
lengthening as day kneels to dusk
beyond the lens
