Susanne Braham worked as an
editor for Columbia University for more than seventeen years but has
finally
retired. She began writing in earnest twelve years ago, after the
sudden loss
of her fifty-six-year-old husband. Five of her poems about widowhood
have been
published in two separate anthologies, the most recent one being The
Widows’
Handbook: Poetic Reflections on Grief and Survival. She has had poetry
published in Metropolitan Diary of The New York Times and in CHEST
Journal,
among other places, and her literary nonfiction and humorous anecdote
have
appeared online. ([email protected])
