MIND OF A POET
David Ram, professor emeritus of English, Greenfield Community College, lives in the Pioneer Valley in Western Massachusetts, where he practices, writing, rowing and grandparenting. Since retiring, he has placed dozens of poems in diverse magazines and anthologies, including Amethyst Review, Gargoyle Magazine, JAMA, The Orchards Poetry Journal, Sport Literate, Unearthed and elsewhere. This poem is one of 24 sonnets in his first chapbook manuscript Sounding Nashawannuck, which is looking for a publisher.
