Welcome back from hiatus Ken. Thanks Ken, glad to be back. StC is back with a bang. We’ve got another great set of pieces below, some wonderful new pics in the Gallery, and best of all, I’m introducing a new feature - Author’s Row.
Author’s Row features book ads for StC published authors. If you follow StC at all, you know these works will be excellent reads. Check them out and support them by making a purchase. Thanks and Enjoy! - Ken |

S H O R T S T O R Y William Quincy Belle does it again, creating a thought-provoking borderline sci-fi vignette in ‘The New Smartphone Ultra Plus’.

S H O R T S T O R Y ‘All My Errors of Judgment/Punctuation’ by Heidi Nibbelink will strike close to home for some husbands out there. It did for me.

AUTHOR PROFILE Ivan Jenson is just the type of multi-talented “all in for creativity” person I like to profile on StC. And what struck me about him was how thoroughly he treats his talents as a business. That’s not a “dirty” thing to do, as long as the creative endeavor is true, and not gimmicky just for the money. Take one look at his art, or one read of his literary work, and you’ll see Ivan is as true as they come.

P O E M ‘On Being Forty’ by Anina Robb beautifully captures the odd sense that crossing the age forty barrier brings.

S H O R T S T O R Y David McVey’s quirky character sketch ‘Minding The Shop’ could have come straight from Woody Allen.

S H O R T S T O R Y Carol Roan’s ‘A Change In The Air’ is a wonderfully nuanced and balanced take on the Pleasantville theme, all in less than 4,000 words. Wow!

“Jules’ gift is in finding the small moments — green paisley pajamas, carrot cake, the giggle of a nine-year-old boy — and gracefully elevating them to tell the story of a life. If half of all marriages end in widowhood, Stronger Than Cleopatra is a manual for how to go on.”
